WELCOME
TO CARDIFF.

A castle sat on top of a hill.
"digitally one of the most well-connected cities."

As the capital of Wales, Cardiff now ranks alongside London, Manchester and Edinburgh as one of the UK’s most exciting cities.

The excellent transport links mean that you never have to travel far to find what you’re looking for, whether that’s open space like Bute Park or Sophia Gardens or a busy student bar like our VIP partner The Botanist. But it’s not just the physical connectivity that’s great here, Cardiff is digitally one of the most well-connected cities in the UK; the first to have 5G available across 4 major networks and an average broadband speed that’s amongst the highest in the UK.

Cardiff has all the advantages of a modern city but at a more affordable level. So, you can spend those extra savings making the most of experiences like the Millennium Centre, Cardiff Central Market or a Vegan Feast at Ana Loca.

A grand museum building.
"Impossible to forget Cardiff's rich history."

Although now a very modern city, it’s impossible to forget the rich history of the area when you have one of the finest remaining castles in the UK, Cardiff Castle overlooking your student accommodation. You can take a short boat ride from Butetown over to Cardiff Bay to enjoy the cool bars and restaurants close to the Millennium Centre.

For cultural highlights, the National Museum holds one of the largest collections of Impressionist paintings outside Paris and Cardiff plays host every year to the Diffusion film and photography festival. You’ll also find the Welsh National Opera in Cardiff but if film and TV is your thing then the Everyman cinema is a fresh environment to enjoy the latest cinema releases.
