The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC) is a public institution of higher education and research that specialises in science, engineering, and architecture. It has 8 campuses, 20 schools and 30 departments. It teaches 64 bachelor’s degrees, 68 master’s degrees and 46 doctoral degrees. Fifty percent of the students enrolled in doctoral programmes in the UPC are international students, and it is the Spanish university with the highest number of international students on master’s and doctoral degrees.

UPF (Pompeu Fabra University) is a public, international and research-intensive university. It has quickly earned a place for itself among the best universities in Europe. Teaching is organized in 7 faculties and 1 engineering school: Health and Life Sciences, Economics and Business, Political and Social Sciences, Communication, Law, Humanities, Translation and Language Science and Engineering School.
