What is there to do in Sheffield?more
Despite being one of the UK’s smaller cities, there’s a lot to do in Sheffield. Browse all the cool independent shops and cafes on Division Street or The Moor. Feast your eyes on local art exhibitions at Bloc Projects. Learn about Sheffield’s industrial history at Kelhand Island Museum. Get a view of the great outdoors in the nearby Peak District National Park. For students, there’s loads to do and explore in Sheffield.

Are there any green spaces in Sheffield to relax in?more
One of the reasons Sheffield is so popular is because it’s surrounded by green space to relax in. Just south of the city centre is Norfolk Heritage Park, which is one of the city’s oldest parks, full of ancient woodland. However in just 15 minutes, you can get to the Peak District National Park, which stretches miles and is one of the most peaceful, beautiful green spaces in England.

Since the city is near the outdoors, there are lots of walking and rock-climbing clubs, and indoor climbing walls throughout the city.

Sheffield has a buzzing music scene, and it’s a great city for discovering new artists. The Leadmill, Sheffield’s longest running live music venue, hosts daily gigs with upcoming artists and has an awesome atmosphere. What age do I need to be to live with Vita Student?more
You need to be 17+ to live at Vita Student, and a full-time university student in the UK or Barcelona.

Do I need to pay for a TV license and council tax as a student living at Vita Student Sheffield?more
If you plan on watching/recording any live terrestrial TV or on BBC iPlayer, you will need to pay for your own TV Licence. You can set up your TV Licence here.
You shouldn’t need to pay council tax in the UK as a full-time student in Sheffield. We might ask for evidence of your student status at any point during your stay in order to ensure you are exempt from council tax.

When can I move into my student accommodation in Sheffield?more
It might be possible to check in earlier than your contract starts, if your room is empty over the summer. Get in touch and we can let you know the earliest date that you can move in.
Once your contract has officially started, you can move in at any time. Closer to the start date, we’ll ask you to let us know when you plan to arrive so that we can make check-in as seamless as possible – but if you need to amend this date and time, you can easily do so from within your Vita Student Account.

Vita Student is safe and your room is absolutely secure. All door entry is key fobbed, we have CCTV and our on-site staff are available at reception or patrolling the building 24 hours a day. Their job is to protect you and the building at all times.
